Merino is one of the worlds most ancient and toughest breeds of sheep, built to survive the incredibly high temperatures and freezing winters of New Zealand's rugged Southern Alps region.

Their super lightweight and breathable fleece that coats them helps keep them keep cool in the summer heat. The extra layer they grow in the winter helps protect them against extreme low temperatures in the winter.
