They are made using a unique process like a caterpillar spins a cocoon – from the toe up, perfectly seamless! They feature a form-fitting design, made from Core-Spun/Lycra yarns, which hug a person’s foot, reducing wrinkling and bunching. Form-fitting design and moisture-wicking qualities make them an ideal sock for athletic use.
 SmartKnitBigKIDS seamless sensitivity socks are perfect for older children that find seams irritating or annoying. SingleSmartKnitBigKIDS Seamless Sensitivity Socks have several comfort features. High-tech Polyester and Lycra fibers wick moisture away from the skin helping to ensure a drier sock, keeping feet cool and comfortable and preventing stinky feet. The comfortable and non-binding Halo Top eliminates irritating indentations, while simultaneously preventing the socks from slipping. In addition, a defined heel helps to keep socks in place. Sock designs include crew or ankle length.
Choosing the Correct Size
Choosing the Correct SizeFinding the correct size is actually very easy using the size chart (also found in the image carousel): Unlike our SmartKnitKIDS socks, SmartKnitBigKIDS Seamless Sensitivity Socks feature a defined heel allowing the sizing to correspond with traditional shoe sizing. Find the correct Men’s or Women’s shoe size on the chart and select the corresponding sock size. AFO Brace Wearers: These socks are not intended for use as AFO or KAFO socks. TRULY SEAMLESS SmartKnitKIDS SocksNotice there is no irritating seam anywhere in the toe of the sock. When the sock is turned inside out, it is still easy to see that SmartKnitBigKIDS socks are truly seamless. Don’t let appearances deceive you – there may be a crease line along the toes that may look like a seam, but the sock’s creation starts at one point and is knitted like a cocoon. While we hope these will be a comfort to all kids with seam sensitivity issues, all children are different in their tolerance level.  Handlinked Seam SocksThe handlinked is created by linking together both sides of the sock to fuse together the toe of the sock. Though the seam is as flat as possible, you can still see and feel the seam line on the toe.  Smooth Seam SocksThe smooth seam is also created by linking together both sides of the sock. It is very faint, but you can still make out the seam line, especially when it is turned inside out.

The SmartKnitKIDS (& BigKIDS) StorySmartKnitKIDS is a brand of family-owned textile manufacturer Knit-Rite, LLC. Our products are proudly made in the USA in our own manufacturing facility in Kansas City, Kansas. Our unique facility has special knitting machines that allow us to knit our products seamlessly. This was a must in our original world of orthotics and prosthetics, where we have a long history. In 2003, Knit-Rite began receiving requests from parents for a completely seamless sock. We learned from these parents that their children struggled with socks because of bumps, seams, ouchies, etc. They all seemed to have their own name for these irritations and they just were not comfortable. Parents told us that any other “seamless” sock that they found had a flat or hand-linked seam across the toes. To a sensitive child, this was still a big irritation. There was still a toe seam, and this led to morning after morning of meltdowns over wearing socks. With nearly a century of medical textile expertise under our belt, Knit-Rite knew we could help. We used this parent feedback to create a patented 100% seamless sock with added comfort features for sensitive feet. And seam-sensitive children all across the country (and then the world) could finally feel comfortable in their socks! But, this innovation didn’t stop at socks! Oh no! We took this ball and rolled, creating seamless and elastic free undies and a bralette, because this was another area where parents found that they struggled with their seam sensitive children. And the ball continued to roll with our seamless compression shirt, Compresso-T and our compression arm sleeves, which act as a barrier between sensitive skin and annoying and irritating seams, AND provide a comforting, soothing “hug” to children who respond differently to various stimuli. Along the way, and as our first little customers began to grow up, we realized a need for seamless products for older children and adults as well. This has led to our BigKid seamless socks and our seamless socks for adults, which are great people with diabetes, arthritis, as well as those sensitive kids that grew up! Every day we hear from parents who tell us how our products changed their lives – how their children’s daily struggles and meltdowns quickly melted away when they got rid of the bumps, seams or ouchies.
